2010 World Championships

In June, 2010 WAIT competed at the World Taekwon-Do Festival and ITF Taekwon-Do World Championships, held concurrently in Cheongu, South Korea.

The World Taekwon-Do Festival brought together over 3,000 practitioners of all ages from 62 nations, representing both the olympic and traditional styles of Taekwon-Do. It is the only world level tournament officially endorsed by both international sporting federations; the World Taekwon-Do Federation (WTF) and International Taekwon-Do Federation (ITF).

The 2010 ITF Taekwon-Do World Championships brought together over a 1,000 traditional (sometimes referred to as ITF styled) practitioners from 50+ nations. 

WAIT is very proud to announce Alan Stewart is WA’s first ITF World Champion.

Mr Stewart promoted to 6th Degree

I’m pleased to announce on Friday 15th October 2010, Alan Stewart successfully graded to 6th Degree Black Belt at the International Instructors Course in Hong Kong.  The grading panel consisted of Master Nicholls, Master Sng, Master Lau, Master Poon with oversight by Grand Master Choi.

Aaron Goldsworthy promoted to 2nd Degree
